Job Title: Cardiac Services Manager/Principal Cardiac Physiologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team as a Cardiac Services Manager/Principal Cardiac Physiologist. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the development of our elective cardiology service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the Cardiology Service, including capacity and demand management, patient issues, and team support.
  • Support non-clinical staff in booking and arranging appointments, managing stock, and dealing with consultant queries.
  • Participate in the provision of cardiac procedures in the outpatient setting, including ECHO accreditation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Professional accreditation with BSE and/or HRUK/IBHRE is a necessity for the role.
  • Competence to undertake other non-invasive investigations, such as stress echo, treadmills, and pacemaker FU, including ILR, CRT, ICD, and brady devices, would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively manage the team, as well as work as a part of that team.
  • Previous management experience, including managing a team of staff, managing clinical activity, and communication across disciplines, is essential.
