Job Summary:

The Cardiac Services Director/Lead Cardiac Physiologist will be responsible for the daily management of the Cardiology Service, including managing capacity and demand, and dealing with patient issues. The successful candidate will be an experienced cardiac physiologist able to deliver their own outpatient clinics performing and reporting echo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Cardiology Service, including managing capacity and demand, and dealing with patient issues.
  • Support the non-clinical support staff in booking and arranging appointments, managing stock.
  • Deal with Consultant queries and support the clinical members of the team.
  • Participate in the provision of the full range of cardiac procedures undertaken within the outpatient setting.
  • ECHO accreditation is essential for the role.

Requirements:

  • Experience in managing a team of staff, managing clinical activity, and communication across disciplines.
  • High level of professional and clinical knowledge acquired through formal training/experience.
  • Ability to support cath lab lists for elective angiography, PCI, and device implant/explant.
