Job Title: Gynaecology Ward Sister

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gynaecology Ward Sister to join our dynamic team at Royal Derby Hospital. As a key member of our ward team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading and managing the ward, and contributing to the development of our nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the ward team, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures
  • Provide education and training to ward staff on best practices and new developments in gynaecology care
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
  • Post-registration experience in gynaecology nursing, preferably in a leadership role
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, nights, and weekends
