Job Summary
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Botulinum Toxin (BoNT) Injectors to join our Patient Support Programme (PSP). You will play a vital role in delivering dedicated NHS BoNT injection clinics for patients diagnosed and treated for Cervical Dystonia.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer BoNT injections for Cervical Dystonia, adhering to all Trust guidelines and procedures.
- Manage a clinic caseload effectively, ensuring efficient patient flow within the dedicated clinics.
- Communicate empathetically with patients, relatives, and carers, providing clear and concise information about their treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to Trust reporting systems.
- Ensure all BoNT treatments provided are within the approved guidelines for dose, muscle selection, and frequency of injection.
- Collaborate with the referral process, ensuring smooth transitions for patients.
- Stay up-to-date with current best practices and complete any required training to maintain competency.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience administering BoNT injections within an NHS toxin service, specifically for Cervical Dystonia.
- Current registration with the relevant governing body (GMC, NMC, HCPC).
- A comprehensive CV and reference confirming competency in BoNT administration as an independent practitioner.
- Flexibility to travel and work across Trust BoNT clinics on a flexible basis.
