Nurse Specialist Injector for Cervical Dystonia Position

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Specialist Injector to join our Patient Support Programme (PSP) team. The successful candidate will provide on-site support to existing Botulinum Toxin (BoNT) services, delivering dedicated NHS BoNT injection clinics for patients previously diagnosed and treated for Cervical Dystonia.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer BoNT injections for Cervical Dystonia, ensuring accurate updates to patient records and Trust reporting systems.
- Manage clinic caseload within the Cervical Dystonia BoNT injection clinics, adhering to all Trust guidelines and procedures.
- Provide effective communication skills to deliver information to patients, relatives, and carers.
- Work to and confirm that all BoNT treatment provided is on label for Toxin dose, muscle selected, and frequency of injection.
- Ownership of the referral process and completion of any additional training requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive BoNT administration experience with a minimum 2-year experience in an NHS toxin service.
- Current registration with relevant governing body (GMC, NMC, HCPC).
- CV and reference to confirm competency in BoNT administration as an independent practitioner.
- Ability to travel and work in Trust BoNT clinics on a flexible basis.
