Nurse Specialist Injector for Cervical Dystonia Position

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Specialist Injector to join our Patient Support Programme (PSP) team. As a key member of our team, you will provide on-site support to existing Botulinum Toxin (BoNT) services, delivering dedicated NHS BoNT injection clinics for patients previously diagnosed and treated for Cervical Dystonia.
Main Responsibilities
- Administer BoNT injections for Cervical Dystonia, working in 1 clinic per week, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in an NHS toxin service.
- Hold current registration with a relevant governing body (GMC, NMC, HCPC).
- Provide accurate updates to patient records and Trust reporting systems.
- Adhere to all Trust guidelines/procedures for the safe and effective delivery of BoNT treatment.
- Travel and work in Trust BoNT clinics on a flexible basis.
Person Specification
Essential
- Highly developed clinical skills in administering BoNT injections for Cervical Dystonia.
- Effective communication skills to deliver information to patients, relatives, and carers.
- Ability to manage clinic caseload within the Cervical Dystonia BoNT injection clinics (10-12 patients per session).
- Ownership of the referral process.
- Complete and maintain any additional training requirements and ongoing adverse event reporting.
Desirable
- Experience using EMG or Ultrasound guidance alongside anatomical guidance.
- Experience with BoNT injections in other licensed indications for Hemifacial spasm and/or Blepharospasm.
