Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Assistant to join our team at IDEX Consulting Ltd. As an Actuarial Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the insurance pricing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct cash flow valuations of funds, considering buyout/buy-in insurance contracts, and provide expert analysis and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain actuarial models and calculations, including individual benefit and transfer value calculations, using in-house software and standard approaches.
  • Collaborate with the team to prepare data and actuarial bases, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant technical issues, including scheme documentation, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards.
  • Communicate complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in pensions valuations and insurance pricing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • A keen interest in actuarial concepts and a strong understanding of the UK pensions schemes.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
