About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Climate Transition Consultant to join our Consultancy team in London or Surrey. As a key member of our Corporate ESG consulting team, you will drive corporate sustainable change and make a lasting impact.

Your primary responsibility will be advising clients on identifying risks and opportunities related to physical climate change and the transition to a low-carbon economy. You will work closely with our specialist consultants, Net Zero experts, and climate risk specialists to deliver impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Climate Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks and opportunities by understanding client business models and governance frameworks.
  2. Advisory Services: Advise clients on effective governance arrangements for embedding climate change management and sustainability into their organizations.
  3. Risk Management: Develop strong understanding of risk management frameworks, control procedures, and integrate climate change into the risk management framework, processes, and responsibilities.
  4. Net Zero Strategies: Support clients in setting Net Zero strategies, targets, and developing decarbonization roadmaps.
  5. Regulatory Framework: Assess the regulatory framework, climate policy, and develop pragmatic ways to implement change in various client contexts.
  6. TCFD Disclosures: Assist clients in reviewing and preparing TCFD disclosures, including providing expertise on financed emissions.
  7. Sustainability Reporting: Develop approaches and reporting disclosures aligned with the TCFD recommendations for diverse client businesses.
  8. Workshops and Training: Facilitate engaging workshops and training sessions with company boards to enhance their understanding of climate-related financial risk and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 2+ Years Consulting Experience: 2+ years consulting experience in a relevant work position, on topics such as climate strategies, climate risk analysis and management.
  • Relevant Skills: Strong understanding of financial modelling, climate scenario analysis, and drafting disclosures.
  • Exceptional Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in European Languages: Fluency in one or more European languages desirable for expansion into the EU market.

Benefits:

  • Salary: £55,000 - £65,000/annum
