Senior Employee Relations Manager

This rapidly expanding business is seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Manager to join their team. As a key member of the ER function, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the team effectively mitigates ER-related risks using a commercial and supportive mindset.

This is a unique opportunity to add value and drive change in a rapidly evolving business. You will be responsible for managing a team of ER specialists at varying levels, as well as direct ER Manager reports. The role offers a high level of autonomy in a relationship-driven environment with significant visibility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing commercial support and advice at all levels, taking a proactive, consultative, and pragmatic approach to managing quality and risk in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Responsibility for the day-to-day team management, development, and coaching of the ER team.
  • Developing content and delivering training to ER/HR and business stakeholders on all ER matters as required.
  • Coaching and developing the ER team, acting as an ambassador for the team and the firm to implement continuous improvement and ways of working.
  • Assessing and analyzing employee relations trends to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to the HR team and wider business.
  • Playing a key role in ongoing up-skilling and education of generalist and other HR teams in legislative and best practice developments and requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experienced Manager with proven experience of effectively managing a small team.
  • Experience of working in an employee relations focused role, including extensive knowledge of employment law and proficient in application of business-aligned solutions.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience as a commercial, credible, and assertive subject matter expert.
  • Proven experience of introducing continuous process improvement and new ways of working.
