Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teachers to contribute to students' Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual needs academically and socially.
  • Plan and deliver interventions alongside teachers to support students' academic and social development.
  • Support in managing the behavior of pupils while they undertake their work, ensuring a constructive and positive environment is maintained.
  • De-escalate situations within the classroom in a professional manner, adhering to safeguarding procedures.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school setting or a supportive role, such as a support worker, youth worker, teaching assistant, carer, intervention, or tutor.
  • Ability to work with students with SEMH and SEND needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment.
