Property Analyst Role

We are seeking a skilled Property Analyst to join our team at Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets (MRS-GM). As a key member of our Property team, you will provide analytical support in respect of the analysis of the property account and monitoring the performance of the property book from a pricing, claims and exposure perspective.

This will enable the Group Heads of Property to make informed decisions about the performance of the Property book or subsections thereof. You will have an analytical mindset and be someone who wants to develop their skills in data capture, analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive forward the analytical output for Property in terms of profile of business and performance.
  • Manage and manipulate (often large and complex) datasets to enable performance metrics to be derived.
  • Investigate year-on-year changes in respect of individual property risks as well as property portfolios and the underlying factors driving them.
  • Work closely with the property underwriters, pricing, claims and exposure management teams to develop performance monitoring and portfolio management tools.
  • Support the Property Team with in-depth portfolio analyses and performance management.
  • Prepare standard and ad-hoc MI reports and KPIs as required and assist with the reporting of performance against plan.
  • Support and participate in relevant project initiatives.
  • Analyze pricing model and exposure management data including parameter validations if required.
  • Support for Syndicate business planning process as well as reporting requirements to Lloyd's, Munich and the PRA.
  • Conduct new business initiative analyses and independent reviews.
  • Liaise and share knowledge with other Munich Re Property business units.
