Property Risk Analysis Role

We are seeking a skilled Property Risk Analyst to join our team at Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets (MRS-GM). The successful candidate will provide analytical support in respect of the analysis of the property account and monitoring the performance of the property book from a pricing, claims and exposure perspective.

The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset and be someone who wants to develop their skills in data capture, analysis and reporting. They will work closely with the property underwriters, pricing, claims and exposure management teams to develop performance monitoring and portfolio management tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support in respect of the analysis of the property account and monitoring the performance of the property book from a pricing, claims and exposure perspective.
  • Work closely with the property underwriters, pricing, claims and exposure management teams to develop performance monitoring and portfolio management tools.
  • Support the Property Team with in-depth portfolio analyses and performance management.
  • Prepare standard and ad-hoc MI reports and KPIs as required and assist with the reporting of performance against plan.
  • Support and participate in relevant project initiatives.

Requirements

  • Analytical mindset and ability to manipulate data sets in Excel/PowerBI and derive KPIs to help drive the property business forward.
  • Experience of property portfolio analytics.
  • Detailed knowledge of actuarial methods and techniques, and the ability to apply them in practice, making reasoned judgements within a business environment.
  • Knowledge of a range of modelling techniques and applications for pricing, exposure and claims management.
