Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled professional to work on constructing electrical apparatus within substations on the electricity distribution network from 11kV up to 132kV. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe delivery of construction projects in live electricity substation environments in line with operational safety rules and safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of fixed relays onto existing relay panels
- Installation and commissioning of CT Metering apparatus
- Act as an ambassador for ENGINEERINGUK when interacting with external and internal customers to deliver world-class customer service and protect the company brand
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, we require:
- Knowledge of the electricity distribution network and experience of working in live electricity substation environments from 11kV - 132kV
- Previous experience will include working on DC battery systems, internal panel wiring modification, multicore cable terminating and glanding, wiring circuit breakers, CT's/VT's to marshalling kiosks and control panels, AC/DC wiring, and replacing 33kV outdoor circuit breakers and isolators
- A high regard for safety, especially on construction sites and CDM regulations, with strong customer service skills
- Previous electricity network operational authorisations would be extremely beneficial as would training and qualifications in scaffold, telehandler, furzeweld, working at height, confined space, asbestos, COSHH, Loler, and SMSTS
