Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at A&S Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust health and safety culture across our sites in Suffolk and Essex.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop H&S representatives on sites.
- Provide HSE support, help, and advice to sites, ensuring consistency with other UK sites.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits in accordance with our management systems.
- Maintain our health and safety performance measurement and reporting system, analysing results to identify improvement opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with current health, safety, and environmental legislation relevant to our Group of Companies and advise senior management accordingly.
- Review and update Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work as needed.
- Assist with the delivery of internal training and support with the implementation of training plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
- Ensure all injuries, diseases, and dangerous occurrences are reported in line with statutory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Health and Safety Managers to share new initiatives.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Experience in warehousing, transport, or logistics.
- Patience and diplomacy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff.
- IT skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Flexible approach to work.
- Interest in H&S legislation.
- Full Driving License.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000 per year
