Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced English Lead to join our team, responsible for managing and developing the English curriculum across our sites. The successful candidate will work closely with site leads, senior leadership team, and the Head Teacher to ensure a high-quality, engaging, and sequenced curriculum that meets the needs of our pupils at KS2, KS3, and KS4.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume the role of 'English Faculty Lead' for colleagues, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest possible standards and quality of teaching and learning within the English Faculty.
  • Communicate a clear vision for the development of English across the PRU, working to any related areas in the school development plan.
  • Support the gathering of evidence of the quality of our English curriculum through book looks, learning walks, and discussions.
  • Ensure consistency of delivery across sites, promoting effective partnerships with the community of Barnet schools and LBB.
Requirements
  • Experience in leading and managing English curriculum development.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve teaching and learning.
