This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, experienced IBD nurse to contribute to the ULHT trust-wide IBD nursing team.

We are seeking a highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic nurse to join our dynamic team providing IBD care across our Hospital sites. Our services include, but are not limited to, IBD nurse clinics, telephone support line, biologic infusion service, and inpatient in-reach service.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients with IBD, working closely with the gastroenterology multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and implement plans of care, ensuring patient-centered approaches and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of education programs for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in clinical audit and research activities, promoting evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care transitions and effective patient management.
Requirements:
  • Registered General Nurse with a degree or degree-level education.
  • Experience in gastroenterology, IBD, or related fields, with a strong understanding of aetiology, pathogenesis, and pharmaceutical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and demonstrate flexibility in approach.
  • Clear knowledge of professional boundaries and a commitment to patient-centered care.
