Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Controller to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for controlling the day-to-day operation of our works processes, including the THP sludge stream.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control the day-to-day operation of the works processes, including the THP sludge stream.
  • Maximise sludge throughputs from the STW across to the THP plant.
  • Process faults and advise suitable rectification, raising issues to the Maintenance Scheduler or Performance Managers as required.
  • Carry out isolations to plant and issue Permits to work as part of a safe system of work.
  • Assist with on-site capital project works, coordinate maintenance and operational personnel, and raise reactive work when required.
  • Monitor stock levels and request and take deliveries as required.
  • Monitor, collate, and report data to ensure that statutory and regulatory compliance is met.
  • Undertake safety and security checks and take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements
  • Completion of NVQ level 2 units, BTEC, or equivalent experience.
  • Technical C&G or HNC desirable but not essential.
  • Ideal experience in the water industry, experience managing or controlling the relevant treatment processes.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and be prepared to cover shifts if required.
  • Understanding of operational health and safety procedures and perimetry.
  • Previous experience with SCADA systems would be an advantage.
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Competitive salary starting from £29,040- £40,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
