Process Control Engineer Job Description

OLG Recruitment is seeking a skilled Process Control Engineer to join our team. As a Process Control Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continued operation of our plant and supporting the execution of our site capital plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide day-to-day support to the operations team to ensure optimal availability and functionality of process control systems and applications.
  2. Collaborate with Process Improvement and Process Engineering teams to develop and program control sequences, utilizing industry standards for DCS, ESD, and SCADA HMI packages.
  3. Translate users' requirements and equipment-related process control queries into effective solutions.
  4. Develop and update standards for new or modified control system architectures.
  5. Ensure change management practices are followed when altering the control system.
  6. Stay up-to-date with new technologies and provide input on their application, such as Advanced Process Control.
  7. Develop recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
  8. Assist with operational implementation of process control and infrastructure modifications and upgrades.
Requirements:
  1. Demonstrated experience in Process Control and Safety Shutdown hardware, software, and configuration, with Emerson DeltaV experience being essential. ABB System6 experience is an advantage.
  2. Experience in a continuous manufacturing process environment, preferably in a top-tier COMAH site.
  3. Proven communication skills to all levels of the organization.
  4. Demonstrated ability to understand fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving techniques using Process Control systems and Data Historian.
  5. Experience in communication systems such as OPC, Modbus, and ethernet networking.
