Child and Young People's Therapist

We are seeking a qualified Counsellor, Therapist or Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Counsellor on Placement. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and build your skills in providing emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in our partner schools.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one counselling to children and young people in a therapeutic capacity.
- Work in a team to deliver a high-quality service to our partner schools.
- Participate in regular supervision and training to develop your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of our services and programmes.
Place2Be is a leading children's mental health charity that provides in-school support and expert professional development to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people, families, teachers and school staff. We currently provide an embedded mental health service in 500 UK primary and secondary schools, supporting a school community of around 243,000 children and young people.

You will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist or Clinical Psychologist, or studying towards one of these professions. You will have a Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above), or a Degree, MSc or MA in Counselling, Counselling Psychology or Psychotherapy. You will also have relevant experience of direct work with children.
