Qualified Play Therapist

Manchester, United Kingdom Child in Mind Ltd Full time

**Company description**

Child in Mind was founded in 2010 in response to the lack of therapeutic services that existed for children at that time. Our vision was to make counselling more accessible and available for children in the heart of their communities, and where possible within their own schools. Our aim was also to raise awareness amongst professionals, and provide training, in order for therapeutic working to be at the core of organisations working with children.

At Child in Mind our ethos is informed by Humanistic philosophy. We believe that, given the right conditions, all human beings have an innate tendency to develop towards their highest potential. The relationship that develops between individuals is key to therapeutic movement towards this potential. We adopt a Person-Centred approach to all our work and strive to understand each individual's experience of the world from their frame of reference. We believe and assert that all human beings are unique and different, and we value those differences equally, with warmth and acceptance.

We are now very proud to be providing a school-based therapy service across the North West of England, working in partnership with schools to make therapy free at the point of access for children.

We are constantly amazed and humbled by the work that children are able to undertake in therapy. They remain our inspiration and we hope to always keep every child in mind. If you share our ethos and want to be part of our vision moving forward then we would love to hear from you.
