We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Band 5 RMN Nurse to join our team in the Acute Setting at Little-Brook Hospital, Dartford.

The Acute Services serve the community of Kent with assessment and treatment of adults of working age who are suffering from acute mental illnesses. This is a challenging yet rewarding environment that requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to use initiative, as well as working effectively within an experienced and knowledgeable nursing and medical team.

The Mental Health Nurse is a key member of the multidisciplinary care team and will have continuing responsibility to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care, communicate findings, influence change and promote health, best practice, patient safety, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out comprehensive, systematic nursing assessments which take account of relevant mental, physical, social, cultural, psychological, spiritual, and environmental factors, in partnership with the patient and others through interaction, observation and measurement.
  2. Work collaboratively with other disciplines, patients, and their carers to agree on a holistic person-centred care plan that addresses the needs identified through assessment.
  3. Deliver and evaluate safe, competent patient-centred care in partnership with the service user and their carers to support recovery.
