About the Position
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a highly skilled Social Worker to join our team as a Senior Assessments Social Worker in Gloucestershire.
Job Description:
- This role will involve leading and supporting the Assessments team, undertaking child and family assessments, and managing lower caseloads.
- You will be responsible for developing positive relationships with families and professionals, and facilitating positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within an Assessments context, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England are required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the Assessments team, ensuring timely and effective support for vulnerable children and young people.
- Undertake thorough child and family assessments, determining the best course of action for children's needs.
- Manage complex caseloads effectively, ensuring comprehensive social work interventions.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, carers, and professionals, facilitating positive changes for children and young people.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £45,123.65 per annum (subject to experience), plus a retention payment of £2,000 per year.
- Flexible working opportunities, including hybrid working arrangements.
- 25.5 days annual leave rising to 30.5 days after 5 years continuous service.
- Option to purchase 10 days of additional leave per year (pro-rata for part-time staff).
