Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our Shared Lives Team as a Home-Based Support Specialist. This exciting opportunity involves working with citizens aged 16 plus, providing them with the opportunity to live with a family in their home, receive respite or day opportunities, and develop their skills.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about improving outcomes for citizens and has the zest and energy to inspire those around them. If you put citizens at the heart of everything you do and are committed to delivering high-quality care services, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract lasting 12 months, working 36.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to citizens, promoting their independence, and enabling them to engage with their community. You will work collaboratively with social care workers, wider partners, and communities to build and shape the Shared Lives offer.

Requirements

  • You must have the ability to travel around and outside of Birmingham, therefore access to reliable transportation is necessary.
  • A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be undertaken.
  • Proof of Right to work in the UK will be required for all applicants in accordance with UK Home Office requirements, before any employment offer can be confirmed.

Salary

The salary for this role is £26,409 - £32,654 per annum, depending on experience.
