Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialty Doctor to join our Women's Health team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a community-based setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in women's health and gynaecology, with a strong understanding of clinical governance and safeguarding. They will be able to work effectively in a busy clinic environment, making decisions under pressure and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

The role will involve providing clinical care to women referred to the Women's Health Hub service, as well as supporting the development of clinical pathways and educational sessions for primary care and other health services.

The successful candidate will be a team player, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. They will also be committed to ongoing professional development, with a focus on upskilling in areas of women's health where needed.

Main Duties
  1. Provide patient-centred holistic care to women referred to the Women's Health Hub service.
  2. Deliver clinical care within a group consultation setting in different aspects of women's reproductive health.
  3. Support the identification of priorities and community engagement in partnership with Primary Care Networks to address local inequalities in women's health.
  4. Develop clinical pathways for the service, ensuring smooth running and effective links with Homerton gynaecology and other associated services.
Person Specification
  • MBChB or equivalent qualification.
  • DRCOG/MRCOG or equivalent, or MFSRH or equivalent.
  • Postgraduate teaching qualification.
Experience
  • Experience in women's health and gynaecology.
  • Experience of general practice or sexual health.
  • Experience of performing minor gynaecological procedures.
  • Experience of working in one or more Neighbourhood/PCN areas in City & Hackney.
  • Experience of one-to-one and small group clinical teaching.
