Care Assistant Specialist

Prometheus Safe and Secure is a specialist operator in the mental health sector, providing a 24/7 rapid response service to more than 40 NHS Trusts, ICB and private hospitals across the UK. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team, working as part of a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality patient care, including supporting patients with daily living tasks and promoting independence.
- Assisting qualified nursing staff in safely conveying and transferring patients under our care.
- Driving Prometheus ambulances as and when required, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Ensuring adequate handover of patient details, including risk history and current presentation, from the Clinical Logistics Manager or nurse responsible for the patient at the collection address.
As a Care Assistant with Prometheus Safe and Secure, you will receive a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including free on-site parking, comprehensive training, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- Proactive and positive self-starter, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Valid Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Full UK driving licence (no provisional licenses accepted).
