The Transformation Unit is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Maternity Support Worker to join our team. As an Apprentice Maternity Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to women and their babies.
Key Responsibilities- Assist and support midwives and the multidisciplinary team in providing holistic care to women and their babies.
- Work collaboratively to ensure a safe and excellent care environment.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Proactively demonstrate the Trust values in daily interactions with colleagues and service users.
- Contribute to the provision of safe and excellent care to women and their babies, working alongside midwives and other health professionals.
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
- Maths and English GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent).
- Care certificate or willingness to complete this upon employment.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a maternity setting and awareness of the principles of woman and family-centered care.
- Ability to communicate effectively with service users and their families, with varying levels of understanding.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and planning skills, with a broad skill base related to practice.
- Understanding of quality and change in the clinical setting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel.
