Role Overview
The UK Infrastructure Bank has transformed into the National Wealth Fund (NWF), capitalised with £27.8 billion to drive private investment in key sectors. As a critical member of the Portfolio Management team, you will oversee loans, guarantees, and equity assets across five priority sectors: clean energy, transport, digital, water, and waste. Your expertise will guide risk management and inform pipeline decisions for new transactions, ensuring a positive financial return.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor project progress, engage with sponsors and fund managers, and implement necessary actions to protect NWF's interests.
  • Develop internal models, evaluate external ones, and perform sensitivity analysis to manage risks effectively.
  • Analyse complex qualitative and quantitative information to recommend actions aligning with NWF's mission.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and scrutinise management as needed.
  • Negotiate waivers and consents to safeguard NWF's interests.
  • Coordinate documentation, test covenant compliance, and ensure deals remain financially sound.
  • Contribute to reports for Investment and Credit Committees on project risks and pricing structures.
  • Collaborate on designing and implementing NWF's strategic Portfolio Management system.
