Job Title: Infrastructure Finance Portfolio Manager

ING Wholesale Banking is seeking a skilled Portfolio Manager to join its Sectors Portfolio Management team in London. As a top 10 player in the global infrastructure finance sector, ING offers a dynamic and challenging work environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of infrastructure finance loans, working closely with senior colleagues to provide analytical and monitoring support. This will involve delivering high-quality periodic reviews of borrowers, as well as reports for credit risk management, internal/external auditors, and regulators.

A key aspect of this role will be developing relationships with borrower management teams and stakeholders, while also contributing to the development of more junior staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, with experience in credit analysis and financial modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of infrastructure finance loans in line with ING's policies and capital velocity objectives.
  • Identify early warning signals for non-performing borrowers.
  • Deliver high-quality reviews, amendment/waiver requests, and reports based on detailed cash flow, contractual, and risk analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with internal systems and requirements.
  • Provide inputs for rating reviews and new rating model systems.
  • Develop trusted adviser relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • High-quality degree in a STEM subject.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in credit analysis, with knowledge of project/acquisition financing transactions.
  • Financial modelling, contractual, financial, and risk analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
