School Nurse Locality Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Nurse Locality Lead to join our dynamic team at Your Healthcare CIC. As a key member of our School Health Service, you will lead a team of skilled professionals to deliver evidence-based activities and interventions to promote the health and wellbeing of school-aged children and young people in the Royal Borough of Kingston.
Main Responsibilities- Lead a locality team of skilled staff to deliver evidence-based activities and interventions to promote health and wellbeing of school-aged children and young people.
- Assess health needs and implement planned programs of care for safeguarded children and delegate work to appropriately skilled team members.
- Work collaboratively with the wider School Health team and 0-19 service to influence practice and development of the service offer.
- Participate in the use of digital technologies to support service delivery and contribute to service developments across the School Health Service.
- Act as a mentor to school health staff and participate in performance reviews and appraisals.
- Registered Nurse with Specialist Practitioner Community Public Health Nurse Qualification (SCPHN) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in School Health and Health Visiting or equivalent community role.
- Educated to degree level and evidence of continuing professional development.
- Practice assessor and ability to work autonomously without direct supervision.
- Full valid driving license and access to a car or bike for business purposes.
