Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Nurse to lead our locality team in promoting the health and wellbeing of school-aged children and young people in the Royal Borough of Kingston. As a key member of our School Health team, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based activities and interventions to improve health outcomes and address health inequalities.

Main Duties
  • Lead a locality team of skilled staff to deliver health promoting activities and interventions in schools and community settings.
  • Assess health needs and implement planned programs of care for safeguarded children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner organizations to promote health and wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement health improving activities and projects to address health inequalities.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with Specialist Practitioner Community Public Health Nurse Qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in School Health and Health Visiting, or equivalent community role.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Practice assessor.
