We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Control Supervisor to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Credit Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the collections process for customers, supervising a team, monitoring collection activities, implementing effective collection strategies, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of Debt Collectors across a range of debts, providing guidance, training, and effective monthly performance reviews, ensuring appropriate SMART objectives and succession planning are in place.
- Monitoring and Compliance: Monitor team compliance and ensure quality is maintained, while sustaining accurate and timely system updates.
- Problem Solving and Strategy Development: Work off own initiative to problem solve, develop, and implement strategies to maximize collections, ensuring collection targets and objectives are achieved, while feeding back to management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to resolve complex collection issues while providing exceptional customer service.
- Reporting and Analysis: Create a clear and transparent reporting pack and understand and proactively control of teams bad debt provision.
- Operational Management: Manage own ledger by way of example and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure processes are performed in accordance with performance and quality standards.
- Customer Representation: Represent the company in customer meetings.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Debt Collection Expertise: Highly experienced in all areas of debt collection.
- Performance Metrics: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding collections targets and performance metrics.
- Financial Acumen: Experience and understanding of financial processes and systems to be able to lead the team through a time of rapid change and modernization.
- Qualifications: Preferable ICM Qualified or working towards.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines within conflicting demands.
- Initiative and Flexibility: Able to work on own initiative with a pro-active and flexible approach.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail along with excellent communication and numeracy skills.
- Technical Skills: A good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Word, pivot tables, vlookup, etc.
- Analysis and Reporting: Analyze, interpret, and report on team performance, being able to analyze cause and effect and be able to implement changes to achieve company objectives.
