Credit Controller

We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our team at BDO LLP. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the firm's revenue flow and ensuring the timely collection of debts.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and communication skills. You will be responsible for enforcing consistent credit control procedures, actively chasing debts, and maintaining accurate client notes.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce consistent credit control procedures and policies
- Actively chase debts using appropriate means and update stakeholders as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client notes using Workday
- Have regular face-to-face meetings with stakeholders regarding debt portfolios
- Monitor queries and disputes, ensuring appropriate escalation
- Ensure consistent application of the firm's debt provisioning policy
- Review and analyze aged debt against defined metrics
- Prepare summary reports as required
- Identify problem debts that require escalation and liaise with Credit Control Manager
- Engage and manage the process of debts that need to go legal
- Work with the accounts receivable team to aid effective and accurate allocation of cash receipts
- Ongoing liaison with other credit controllers across the firm
Requirements
- Professional services experience, preferably with Workday experience
- Excel skills to a competent level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate individuals and deal professionally with performance issues
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service
