About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Management Office Manager to lead our large-scale warehouse automation capital investment project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering this complex project, ensuring it meets the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team to deliver the project
  • Actively manage and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies, constructing suitable action plans to rectify and deliver the project
  • Undertake cross-functional analysis of project and programme data to identify trends and inform business planning
  • Identify and drive efficiency opportunities across programmes, ensuring resources are utilised in the most effective way
  • Maintain standards for all internal and external documents and output
  • Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with external partners
  • Ensure the project meets or exceeds required levels of availability, performance, and delivers against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Manage Capex budget through to delivery
  • Develop and train the team, conducting appraisals and providing support
  • Manage resources to assess and support the feasibility of projects in conjunction with the Operations Team
  • Develop, critique, and present proposals and reports, with supporting business cases
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, managing policies, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services
  • Conduct personnel administration and support of hiring and induction processes
About You
  • Articulate and numerate with clear communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Project and/or Programme Management experience
  • Experience in PMO Management
  • Industry experience in a management role
  • Leadership/Team Management experience
  • Management of 3PL, cost savings, and budget management
  • Experience of stakeholder management at all levels
  • Strong Project/Programme management experience in a retail or similar fast-paced environment
  • A good understanding of managing moving deadlines, multiple project strands, and critical paths
  • Computer literate, including strong office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Outlook
  • Previous experience of managing data and creating reporting templates
  • Utilising data to identify risks and opportunities and to develop new ideas and concepts

  • Starting salary from £61,065 rising to £94,240
  • Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
