About the Opportunity

Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Solutions Project Controls team. This role will support our key frameworks for Small Module Reactors across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage schedules to incorporate risk, change, resource requirements, and cost in accordance with Jacobs requirements and standards.
  • Create plans for the full project lifecycle, including development and design for the Small Module Reactor Programme in the UK.
  • Provide cost management support to the Framework teams and monitor, control, and forecast costs during the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Develop and maintain robust Work Breakdown and Project Control Structures in accordance with Investment Delivery processes, templates, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience.
  • Breadth of experience across the whole project and programme lifecycle, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning.
  • Good working knowledge of financial systems and the inter-relationship between time, cost, and commercial aspects of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience with the latest version of Primavera and proficiency in estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk tools, including Earned Value Analysis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management and produce monthly reports to an agreed reporting cycle.
