Position Overview

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support the Teledyne GMI Quality Management System. This role will ensure supplier quality performance and manufacturing yields are of the highest level, as well as ensuring manufacturing test and measurement equipment is calibrated to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Management and control of Goods-Inwards inspection processes
  2. First Article Inspection and reports for new parts, suppliers, or revision changes
  3. Maintenance and creation of inspection plans, AQL sampling and process documents
  4. Management and processing of non-conforming goods and materials
  5. Chair monthly MRB review and disposition of non-conforming material
  6. Communications with suppliers regarding non-conforming materials and RMA's
  7. Supplier selection, approval and performance management
  8. Supplier, In-process, and Customer Complaints CAPA process via Q-Pulse
  9. Calibration management of production test and measurement equipment
  10. Provide support for production and Final QA processes
  11. Analysis and resolution of production/customer/regulatory-impacting issues
  12. Participate in internal audit program (ISO/ATEX) and support external audits
  13. Operation and improvement of the company Quality management system.
  14. Lead quality improvements and initiatives in-line with main business objectives.
  15. Creation of reports and records to support the Quality Management System
  16. Provide input to Monthly Quality Review and annual Management Review

Requirements

  1. Minimum HNC/HND in Quality Management Systems or Engineering discipline
  2. Quality planning and improvement tools – FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, RCCA, 8D
  3. 3 years relevant experience working in a quality engineering role/function.
  4. Inspection and measurement of electro-mechanical parts, sub-assemblies and PCBA
  5. Familiar with measurement systems / tools, and able to read technical drawings
  6. Trained and certified ISO9001:2015 auditor
  7. Quality focused, self-starter who can think pragmatically about business requirements
  8. Microsoft Office applications including Dynamics AX
  9. Q-Pulse Quality Management Systems software program
