Skilled Fitter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rotating Equipment Specialist to join our team as a Skilled Fitter. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a premier global manufacturer of highly engineered equipment, catering to diverse applications in clean energy and industrial gas sectors.

This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £33,500 per annum, plus shift allowance. The role involves working 37 hours per week with opportunities for overtime. As a Skilled Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling screw compressors to engineering drawings and contract specifications, adhering to relevant instructions and ensuring conformance to international standards.

• Assemble screw compressors to engineering drawings and contract specifications
• Adhere to SOPs and WSI's on the assembly of screw compressors to ensure compliance with specific standards
• Conform to HCO Quality Management system procedures to ensure conformance to international standards
• Deliver quality products in a timely manner while contributing to efficient manufacturing principles
• Provide training support for apprentices and colleagues to ensure skill transfer
• Interact with HBE to support cost reduction, efficiency, delivery, and quality improvements
• Ensure adherence to company environmental, health, and safety standards

• Recognised mechanical fitting apprenticeship and relevant qualifications
• Previous experience in precision manufacturing and assembly of rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines)
• Engineering drawing interpretation ability and rotating equipment experience, including balancing of sub-assembly components
• Previous experience in hydrostatic testing of assemblies
• Good communication skills
