Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Acute Oncology Service team at The London Clinic. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of a comprehensive Acute Oncology Service, providing expert clinical leadership and support to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring optimal standards of patient care and safety.
  • Coordinate the delivery of Acute Oncology Services, including the management of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACTs) and follow-up treatment for related conditions.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with national and organizational targets.
  • Lead and mentor nursing staff, promoting excellence in practice and supporting role expansion.
  • Collaborate with the Acute Oncology CNS to deliver AOS services across organizational, professional, and geographical boundaries.
Requirements
  • RGN with valid NMC registration and considerable post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting, with haematology and oncology experience.
  • Cancer experience in SACT and post-registration course within the Oncology specialism.
  • Strong evidence of clinical leadership qualities, including team working and team building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening, negotiation, assertiveness, and decision-making.
