About the role

We are seeking a skilled PBS Practitioner to join our team in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.

Main duties:

  • Provide Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to individuals with complex needs, focusing on enhancing their quality of life and reducing restrictive practices.
  • Respond to PBS referrals, prioritize caseloads, and collaborate with support teams to develop personalized plans.
  • Offer training and development to teams assisting individuals with Autism and behaviors of distress, reviewing and developing PBS plans.
  • Maintain data analysis related to behavioral support, demonstrating justification for strategies employed and behavioral trends over time.

Requirements

  • Formal training in PBS, e.g., BILD CAPBS Coaches or PBS diploma.
  • Experience supporting individuals with autism and passion for creative problem-solving.
  • Strong understanding of positive behavior support principles, person-centered approaches, and thinking.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently, advocating for excellent PBS.
