We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Enhanced Support Worker to join our team at Look Ahead in Ladbroke Grove. As an Enhanced Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs, including those with a history of entrenched rough sleeping and mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/Manager.
- Ensure that referrals are chased proactively to fill properties efficiently.
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks, agreeing levels of support and actions.
- Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
- Support customers to undertake domestic tasks, including practical assistance where necessary.
- Develop and maintain links with key agencies and service providers in the local community.
- Develop knowledge around the local mental health system to ensure customers receive the best treatment available.
- Lead on an area of specialism (ETE, health and wellbeing) and build partnerships and develop internal and external opportunities for service-users in this area.
- Empower customers to receive the service and benefits they are entitled to.
- Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards.
- Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team.
We are looking for someone who is fundamentally calm and resilient, with a practical and logical mind and a naturally well-organised approach. You will be flexible, open to feedback and self-development, and thrive on change and dynamic diverse environments. You will be confident with high levels of self-esteem, respectful, articulate and sensitive in style of communication, and essentially customer-focused.
What You'll Bring- Up to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or experience in the social care/charity sector.
- Desirable: Experience of working with complex needs/street homeless.
