**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Primary Care Commissioning Specialist to join our dynamic team at NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board (ICB).

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality primary care services, collaborating closely with primary care providers and health system partners.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative strategies and initiatives that drive positive change in population health and system effectiveness.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Collaborate with primary care providers to develop strategic work plans and deliver high-quality services.
  • Provide senior management support to the Heads of GMS and PODs to ensure alignment with national targets and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with PCNs, practice leaders, and other stakeholders to drive integrated neighbourhood working.
  • Line manage Assistant Primary Care Managers to support growth and maximise potential.

**Requirements:**

  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post-graduate diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to form constructive relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Comprehensive experience of project principles, technique, and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects.
  • Educated to master's degree level or significant equivalent previous proven experience in a specialist area related to primary care.

**Estimated Salary:** £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
