Sales Director - National Expansion

UK wide role with flexibility for candidate location, requiring occasional time in offices in Hertfordshire, West Midlands, and Manchester.

This is a rare opportunity to join a leading organisation delivering technical solutions and services to diverse sectors, including Construction, Infrastructure, Utilities, Energy, Property, and Manufacturing. As part of a global group, they are poised for significant growth in the UK and Europe.

To support their expansion plans, they seek to enhance their commercial capabilities by strengthening their sales structure. This will also facilitate a more cohesive approach across various products and services delivered via multiple business units into client companies, presenting opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling.

The primary goal is to achieve substantial growth in sales, gross margin, and EBITDA through expansions to service scope and new business units within national accounts within specified market sectors.

You will oversee a team of experienced professionals through a matrix management approach, including direct reports in Marketing, Insights, and Bid Management, driving growth and profitability. Your strategic vision, business acumen, and exceptional leadership skills will be crucial in achieving their sales objectives.

Ideal candidates should possess:

  • At least 5 years' experience in a UK Sales Management role
  • Background in a technical services or consultancy type business with advanced technology: Inspection and Certification, Surveying, Geospatial, Health & Safety, Monitoring etc.
  • A strong track record of driving business growth and achieving financial targets selling into multiple sectors
  • A proven ability to work effectively across an organisation through a matrix structure to deliver strategic objectives with competing priorities

Candidates can reside anywhere in the UK, although the role requires national travel to support the team and visit key clients and operational areas.
