Financial Accountant Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Adaptix, Inc. in Oxfordshire. As a key member of our Finance and Administration department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing management accounts, and providing information and reports to the wider business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate accounting records for purchase to pay, order to sales, and inventory transactions.
  • Prepare management accounts and provide information and reports to the business.
  • Support the Finance team on audit and tax matters.
  • Lead the reporting process and preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS.
  • Prepare tax packs for the external tax team and prepare and submit R&D tax credit claims.
  • Oversee and assist in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate accounting under IFRS for all key areas.
  • Produce monthly financial reporting packs within 5 working days of the month end, to be submitted to the Board, including variance analysis of budget/forecast.
  • Timely preparation and submission of IUK Quarterly Reports, ONS surveys, and other reporting requirements.
  • Prepare labour workings for the monthly grant reports and manage grant audits as required.
  • Facilitate the US tax return and other reporting requirements.
  • Support in improving reporting capabilities to provide greater management reporting on customers, revenue, inventory, etc.
  • Support in developing the finance system capability, working with external advisors and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Actively contribute to the improvement of processes and the internal control environment, in particular to support business growth and commercial complexity.

Requirements:

  • Working in a finance team in an accounting role.
  • Working with Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central.

This is a permanent full-time role based at our commercial office in Eynsham, Oxfordshire. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
