Finance Manager

LV Recruitment Ltd is partnering with an academic establishment in Oxford to find a full-time and permanent Finance Manager to join their small and close-knit team.

This established department has created the Finance Manager role to ensure the smooth running of the department, to be a hands-on manager supporting the team, and to lead the accounting function, ensuring a smooth operation.

The role of Finance Manager reports to the College Accountant and is a crucial position within the department.

Key Responsibilities

Management of Team Members

* Manage three people, including the Payroll & Finance Assistant and Accounts Assistants.

Budgeting and Reporting

* Monthly management accounts, quarterly VAT, and supporting with the annual budget and in-year forecasts.

Finance and Process Systems

* Process and system improvement, develop internal control procedures for main and specialist transactions such as student fees, grants, and bursaries.

Requirements

* Professional Accounting qualification (ideally ACA/ACCA).

* Enjoy line management and have some experience of this within a previous role.

* Recent experience within a similar role.

* Excellent IT skills.

* Flexible and supportive attitude with a desire to lead by example.

* Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
