About Us: Our organization is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to join our team as an Inclusion and Support Specialist.
Estimated Salary: $28,000 - $38,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description:
Job Overview: The Inclusion and Support Specialist will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment for children with diverse abilities. This role requires a deep understanding of child development principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusion and accessibility in all programs and activities.
Work closely with staff members to ensure that all children receive the support and accommodations they need to participate fully.
Provide training and education to staff members on topics related to inclusion, diversity, and cultural competency.
Collaborate with parents and caregivers to develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) that meet the unique needs of each child.
Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to monitor program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.
Participate in staff training and professional development to enhance program quality and knowledge.
Requirements:
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Child Development, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in special education, inclusion, or a related field.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Licenses/Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification and a valid driver's license.
Benefits:
Hourly Wage: $16-$22 per hour, depending on experience.
Overtime Pay: Eligible for overtime pay after working 40 hours per week.
