Salary: £45,000 (Rising to £50,000) + Unlimited Overtime

Hours: 12hr Shifts - 4on 4off Days & Nights

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Engineer - Multi-Skilled to join our client's growing team. As a Shift Engineer - Multi-Skilled, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical support and repairs for all automated materials handling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide electrical and mechanical support and repairs for all automated materials handling systems
  • Carry out PPM's, reactive maintenance, and project work
  • Work on conveyors, automated stacker cranes, SCADA systems, barcode readers, scanners, cooling systems, site services, palletisers, automated turntables, PLC's, elevators
  • Work in a cold storage facility
  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance of automated stacker cranes, which can operate up to 42 metres high
  • Assist in developing PPM schedules for all of the new machinery and systems
  • Majority of the workload at this site is problem-solving and fault-finding
  • Deal with gearboxes, bearings, rollers, shafts, drives, sensors, control panels, servo drives

Requirements:

  • Must have some form of formal electrical qualification - i.e. City & Guilds, NVQ, 17th or 18th Edition
  • Happy working at heights - up to 42 metres on cranes
  • Comfortable working in cold and freezer degree conditions
  • Due to health and safety regulations to go up on cranes - must weigh under 19st (125kg)
  • Ideally be a multi-skilled engineer
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Must have worked in a maintenance engineering role previously
  • Ideally have worked in automated warehouse, distribution, FMCG, manufacturing
  • Experienced in working on conveyors, rollers, stackers
  • PLC - electrical fault-finding skills would be beneficial
