Surveying Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Surveying Specialist to join our team at Carbon60. As a key member of our surveying department, you will provide expert advice on commercial properties across the North East and North West of England.

Your primary focus will be on supporting our clients in various sectors, including Technical Due Diligence and Forensic Surveying. You will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality services and ensure excellent client outcomes.

A salary of £38,000 - £48,000 per annum is offered, depending on experience. In addition, you will receive 24 days' holiday (rising to 28) with the opportunity to buy extra leave, as well as a range of other benefits, including company matched pension, life assurance, and cycle2work scheme.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support clients and senior colleagues in developing detailed briefs
  • Conduct site surveys, including measured surveys, condition surveys, and defect analysis
  • Prepare design and specification documents and assist with tender information
  • Assist in administering building contracts
  • Deliver professional surveying services, including condition surveys, specific defect analysis, party wall matters, dilapidations, and passive fire protection surveys
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, and other consultants

You will require a BSc in Building Surveying or equivalent, along with working experience advising on commercial properties either in public or private sector. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are necessary, as well as self-motivation and ability to work with minimum supervision.
