We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Specialist to join our vibrant secondary school. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of food technology lessons by preparing ingredients, equipment, and materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist students during practical cooking sessions, providing guidance and demonstrating techniques.
- Help manage food stock, placing orders and maintaining inventory.
- Work closely with the Food Technology teacher to enhance the learning experience for students.
- Passion for food and cooking with knowledge of food preparation, safety, and hygiene.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment (experience working with young people is a bonus).
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and students.
- A flexible and proactive attitude.
- A rewarding role helping students develop essential life skills.
