Electrical Design Engineer Role in Colchester

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Colchester.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the electrical/electronic design and testing of new X-Ray and Bond Test products as well as the maintenance of existing products.

  • Assist in the design and layout of electrical support systems for X-Ray and Bond Test machinery.
  • Design and documentation of electrical panels, PCBs, and general machine wiring.
  • Basic mechanical design for electro-mechanical elements of machines.
  • Practical electrical and electronic prototyping.
  • Specification, documentation and management of electrical bills of materials.
  • Substantial experience (5+ year) of designing Electrical/Electronic Systems in an industrial setting.
  • Extensive experience of designing electrical panels for industrial systems (Circuit breakers, contactors, etc.)
  • CAD experience (preferably AutoCAD, Inventor, Cadstar)
