Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Dage Precision Industries, Ltd. as a key member of our engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our X-Ray and Bond Test products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Assist in the design and layout of electrical systems for the control of Industrial X-Ray Inspection and Bond Test machinery.
  2. Electrical Panel Design: Design and documentation of electrical panels, PCBs and general machine wiring.
  3. Integration and Prototyping: Liaison with Mechanical and Software design teams to ensure effective integration of electrical systems with mechanical and software components. Practical electrical and electronic prototyping.
  4. Bill of Materials Management: Specification, documentation and management of electrical bills of materials.
  5. Product Improvement: Support and improve electrical design of existing product range.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Substantial experience (5+ years) of designing Electrical/Electronic Systems in an industrial setting.
  2. Teamwork: Solid experience of working as part of a team on medium to large engineering projects.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  1. Electrical Panel Design: Extensive experience of designing electrical panels for industrial systems (Circuit breaker contactors).
  2. Wiring Loom Design: Experience of specifying designing wiring looms for electrical machinery.
  3. CAD Experience: CAD experience (preferably AutoCAD, Inventor, Cadstar).
  4. Practical Electrical/Electronic Skills: Good practical electrical/electronic skills for prototyping testing.
  5. Electrical Safety Standards: Knowledge of relevant electrical safety standards (IEC61010, NPA79, etc.).
Desirable Skills and Abilities
  1. Electronic Circuit Design: Experience of electronic circuit design (analogue/digital).
  2. Embedded Microcontroller Systems: Experience working with embedded microcontroller systems and associated buses (e.g.
  3. PLCs: Experience working with PLCs.
  4. Software/Firmware Design Concepts: Basic understanding of software/firmware design concepts.
  5. Microsoft Office and Excel: Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
