Senior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Construction Resources Limited. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our business by providing accurate and detailed estimates for our construction projects.
Job SummaryThe Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing estimates, tenders, and budget proposals for our clients. You will work closely with our Pre-Construction Team and Business Unit Leaders to ensure that our estimates are accurate and meet the client's requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Compile accurate estimates, tenders, and budget costs using company historical data and industry knowledge.
- Identify opportunities and risks during the tender process and provide recommendations to the Pre-Construction Team.
- Liaise with the Business Unit, Pre-Construction Manager, and Bid Manager to ensure that our estimates are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Prepare and present estimates and tenders to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a register of key assumptions within estimates and highlight commercial issues with the Pre-Construction Manager.
- Prepare all necessary estimating documentation and lead estimating presentations at Tender Launches, Settlements, and Handover Meetings.
- Sound experience in construction methodology and estimating processes.
- Broad knowledge of the construction sector and building processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of managing processes and people.
- Dedication and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Office packages and estimating software.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload, including effective time management skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor.
- Strong bid and commercial acumen.
- Ability to perform successfully in a challenging working environment.
- Ability to build relationships both internally and externally with key stakeholders.
